About Lanny Levin:
Lanny D. Levin, CLU, ChFC graduated from Stanford in 1971 with a degree in Economics. He then developed his own business as a Guardian agent for 7 years. After that he created and grew the life insurance department for a large Chicago property and casualty insurance agency, where he became a Vice President and head of its Benefits Division.In 1988 he rejoined the local Guardian agency, THE DAVIS-DANN ORGANIZATION, as a partner. The firm was renamed DAVIS DANN LEVIN, LLC in 1993, and today it is the LANNY D. LEVIN AGENCY, INC. Lanny is a past President of the Chicago Estate Planning Council. He has made presentations to the Illinois CPA Society, Chicago Bar Association, Chicago Estate Planning Council, Greater Chicago Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, both the DuPage and Chicago & Northeastern Illinois Health Underwriters, and Greater North Shore Estate Planning Council. He has conducted numerous workshops at Chicago law firms and accounting firms. He has also participated in estate planning panels for the Chicago Estate Planning Council, and the Practising Law Institute, and has moderated LUTC's Personal Insurance Course. He has conducted dozens of meetings for insurance professionals on technical, marketing and sales subjects. He was named the 2009 Solomon Huebner Scholar by the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. The Chicago Estate Planning Council honored him with its 2009 Austin Fleming Distinguished Service Award. His articles have been published in The Journal of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, Warren, Gorham & Lamont's Tax Ideas and its Estate Planning Ideas & Methods and Life Insurance Selling magazine. He has extensive experience in working with brokers and their clients. A native of Chicago, Lanny lives in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife, Atara. They are the parents of three children. |
